Dinner and Ball

The Common-Riding Dinner will be held in the Town Hall immediately prior to the Ball. Anyone wishing to attend the Dinner only - or Ball only - may do so as tickets for both functions will be sold separately. Seating plans for both the Dinner and Ball will be in operation and a written list of names must be supplied on purchase of tickets. Any changes at a later date should also be notified.
Common-Riding Dinner
The Dinner will commence at 7.00 p.m. prompt (with access to the Hall from 6.30 p.m.) and will finish at 10.00 p.m. Patrons attending the Dinner only must vacate the Hall by 10.15 p.m. Tickets are priced at £18.00 per person.
Common-Riding Ball
Patrons attending the Ball only will not be able to access the Hall before 10.15 p.m., however, may wait in the Committee Room if they so wish until this time. Music for this year’s Ball will be provided by ‘Strangers’ who are one of the Borders premier bands. Tickets are priced at £16.00 per couple.
A strict dress code of Black Tie for Gentlemen and Long Evening Dress for Ladies must be observed.
Tickets for both functions will be on sale from the Common-Riding Office at 11 O’Connell Street on Saturday 7th May at 10.00 a.m. The maximum allocation per head is four Dinner and two Ball tickets.
Please Note: Attendance at all licensed events is restricted to over 18’s.
